World premiere in the catacombs of New York

In February 2018, Camillo Stepanek’s Pop Art Nouveau paintings were shown in a solo exhibition in the lobby of the catacombs in SoHo. These catacombs had been all but forgotten and had been off limits to the public since the early 20th century. The exhibition is therefore a world premiere, as it is for the very first time that an art event is staged at the lobby located in the catacombs.
